Counseling for Neurotypical Partners
You are a neurotypical partner in a relationship with a partner that has Autism Spectrum Disorder and feel your emotional needs aren’t being met. You’re giving all your energy and support to them, but still feel invisible and lonely. You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger, and constant frustration. I’ll teach you ways to manage and cope with these feelings and ensure you keep a sense of personal identity in the relationship.
Your partner has been diagnosed as neurodivergent or you’re convinced they are. A part of you feels relieved to have that information and awareness. But another part of you is asking, ’’what about me?”
